Considerations

When planning gardens, or other landscape projects, it's important to take
both practical and personal factors into consideration...

Practical Stuff:
1. What size is the space?
2. What is the orientation, ie North / South, East / West?
3. What is the architectural style of the building or house?
4. Are there any special features in the garden, a nice old cobblestone wall, a gazebo?
5. Are there challenges - a steep slope, your neighbor's trees cast shade, a natural spring?

Personal Stuff:
1. How do you use the garden? How do you want to use the garden?
2. Do you have children? Ages? Pets?
3. Are there any sense memories that you want to incorporate into your garden?
4. Do you have favorite plants, colors or scents, must haves!? What about strong dislikes, can't stands?
5. What is your budget?
