This Lovely Malaysian Grandmother kept me company on the long flight from LAX to KL. She spoke about 6 languages, and taught me all sorts of Malaysian phrases. We took turns stretching out (sort of) for naps on the extra seat between us.

BRAZIL was my most recent journey... I can barely begin to describe my experience of it. I went there to teach, travel in rural areas with a Brazilian friend, & learn. I did all three, though perhaps in much different proportions than expected. I met other artists, as well as lots of locals and travelers. Nature and the people, often surprised; mostly in a good way, though not always in the most comfortable way.
