Flight to Malaysia - The Next Phase

I have 3 months left of my trip, and I'll be planning my next move on the plane tomorrow.

I'm not sure where I'll go after arriving in KL (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). I'd love to head off to Cambodia's stunning Ankor Wat temples, or Kuching in Borneo. Both are incredibly picturesque and perfect subject matter for my animation background illustration portfolio.

Unfortunately, the transportation is more than I can afford right now. I must wait out my trip someplace cheap and hope that my funds increase before I run out in 2 weeks (via pending web-work and USA furniture sales on my behalf).

Frankly, I've thought more than once about packing it in and coming back to SF. Finances and occaisional loneliness for friends and the familiar are the main reasons. But then, my portfolio goals spur me on... I'm set on having my children's book sample, and animation background illustration portfolio, ready for showing when I get back. As much as I'm having fun and growing as a person, my main reason for going on this trip is to turn my career around.

Today, I am determined to reduce my weighty material possessions. It may be most practical and cheap to donate or toss things. Mailing overseas, and 3 months of left luggage fees can be quite expensive or not-quite-secure.
