Last Day in Siem Reap, Cambodia

I had a glorious, if exhausting, 3 days of temple touring. I have over a thousand images including small movie clips of these ruins, and the surrounding landscape. I also made a point of capturing some blurry vignettes of people's everyday activities, which include hauling every awkwardly shaped thing imaginable with motorbikes, bicycles, giant trucks, water buffalo, and homemade trailers.

I regret now being able to share these with anyone till I get back to the states. Then again, they may not mean much to anyone else beside me.

I'm now transferring my digital images to CD via local Cambodian services for about $3 pop... which is pretty much every day during heavy shoot days. This will add up considering I still have about 2 month to go. Unfortunately, since I removed my memory card and handed it over to these folks (the first time the card has been removed from my camera since I bought it in February), the memory card is having errors. This make for some corrupted/lost/partially erased images, and botched CD burning. I believe I've found a way to prevent the latter, though I hate losing the sometimes irreplaceable images.

Technology has certainly taken a dumper on me lately! My equipment is mostly still under warranty, though it would be completely impractical to try to resolve these issues while abroad. So I'm making do...
