Travel Revisions Revised

Well, the budget seems to dictate that I scale back my travel plans to just Southern Vietnam. I'll continue to research the possibilities, but I might focus on the bus accessible routes from Hoi An (Faifo) and south.

I'm particularly intrigued by the central highlands,which are a cooler mountain region with lots of waterfalls, lakes, and woods. Cooler sounds better to me after sweltering so long in the oppressive heat of SE Asian cities. Also, I'm a huge fan of water scenes, so this sounds right up my alley. I'd love to find some swampy mangrove areas to boat through. A good base would probably be the French colonial styled Dalat.

The Meykong Delta also sounds lovely. Flat as a pancake and lots of ricefields and patchwork land masses.
